I earned graduate degrees in psychology from Columbia University and the University of Miami, where my training bridged clinical and health psychology. My specialized expertise includes neuropsychology, mindfulness-based approaches, trauma-informed care, and the mind-body connection.

During my predoctoral internship at the Ryder Trauma Center, I worked with individuals recovering from traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries. This experience profoundly shaped my appreciation for the human capacity for resilience in the face of trauma, loss, and uncertainty.

I subsequently completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and later joined the Department of Neurology faculty. For many years, I served as the primary psychologist for both the Kessenich Family MDA/ALS Center and the International Center for Epilepsy, supporting patients and families facing serious, chronic illnesses.

My research on the psychological and cognitive aspects of ALS was recognized with the Stanley Glaser Foundation Biomedical Research Award in 2004. My work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at scientific conferences nationally and internationally.

I take time to understand each person’s perspective, circumstances, and goals, tailoring my approach to their individual needs. Whether through psychotherapy or neuropsychological assessment, I bring careful listening, thoughtful inquiry, and attention to each person’s individual strengths and capabilities.
